Let's Get Ready: Summer 2015 Program

ATTENTION JUNIORS!!!

Do you need SAT Test Prep during the summer? Want someone to help you complete the college application process? Do you want more information regarding financial aid? 

If you're interested please check out Let's Get Ready, a nonprofit program that is open to juniors to assist them with the college process and gaining SAT prep. Applications for the Summer 2015 Program will be available in April. However, you may fill out the Summer 2015 Student Interest Form to be contacted quicker by the program. Bottom Line 2015 College Expo

College Expo:

A public event for High School Juniors and Seniors and their parents. Hear from students and alumni from over 25 colleges and universities, participate in Decision Making and Financial Aid workshops with parents to learn more about these processes and hear panels on the College Experience and Life after College. 

Unlike other college fairs, this college expo allows you to speak to students who were in your exact shoes and what choosing a major is all about! 

The workshops will be held from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM

25th Annual Latino College Expo

There will be a Latino College Expo held this month in New York City! There will be various program agencies, community-based organizations and colleges at this expo. 

When: Saturday, March 14th, 2015 from 12 PM until 3PM

Youth Council Meeting: March 2015

There will be a Youth Council Meeting tomorrow, Friday, March 6th from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM.

Attendance is mandatory for this meeting.

Gift cards for the month of February will be given out tomorrow as well.

Urban Leadership Fellows Program 2015

What's it about?

The Urban Leadership Fellows Program is sponsored by The Municipal Form of New York, Inc., and is managed by Futures and Options. It is a paid, six-week internship that allows New York City high school seniors to "gain valuable hands-on work experience and training in the municipal finance industry."

What's the admission process?

Students interested in a career in law or finance must provide: 

1) A resume

2) A 250-500 word personal essay (Can be an essay you have sent to a college) 

Prospective students must also: 

• Be able to work full-time during the six-week internship program 

• Have at least a 3.0 GPA

• Excellent computer skills

• Have strong verbal and written English skills
