SPRING AND SUMMER INTERNSHIPS 2015: JANUARY UPDATE
New Internships!
1) United States Attorney's Office-Eastern District of New York
• The US Attorney's Office internships offers an "excellent opportunity for students students studying pre-law, criminal justice, accounting, information technology, library management, human resources or community crime prevention."
• Students must be "enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school"
2) Wave Hill: Forest Project (PAID)
• APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 15TH, 2015
• Spend the summer working on "protecting and improving Wave Hill's woodlands, enjoying the outdoors, learning about restoration ecology and making friends."
• Students must be in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade
• Interested in urban natural areas

3) New York Aquarium Docent Program
• Application Period Opens: March 1st, 2015
• Students become a docent (exhibit interpreter) and help "staff exhibits, teach visitors about marine conservation, and assist at events and education programs."
• Students must be fifteen or older

4) Summer Health Internship Program (SHIP)
• APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 20TH, 2015 AT 11:30 PM (ETS)
• The internship program is a "six-week opportunity for underrepresented and/or economically disadvantaged high school and college students."
• Program exposes students to "variety of careers in the health field" and "various health issues affecting their communities."
• Selected students will work at designated clinic or hospital sites for three days a week from 9 AM until 3 PM

5) Town Hall Educational Outreach Program (PAID)
• A "competitive six-week paid" program that "places high school students from participating high schools in performing art venues throughout New York City."
• Internship provides high school students with "experience in all aspects of the performing arts"
