UPDATE: New Internships!




1) Summer Health Internship Program (Bronx-Westchester)

• APPLICATIONS DUE APRIL 3rd

• A six-week internship for high school students who "express interest in the health field"

• Students intern at "designated [health] sites three days per week for five hours per day"

• Must attend a school in the Bronx or Westchester area.

2) Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship Program

APPLICATIONS DUE FEBRUARY 27th

• High-achieving students are paired up with legal employers during the summer

Provides students with "additional programming before, during, and after the summer" that will help design and prepare a legal career.

3) Prospect Park Zoo Discovery Guide Program

• APPLICATIONS DUE APRIL 1st

• Students "focus on conservation education"

• Students help "educate public visitors at exhibits", interact with children and become involved with Project TRUE (Teen Research Urban Ecology)

4) Teen Explainer Program

• APPLICATIONS DUE MAY 1st

• Students explain the ideas of nature and plant science to children and families at The New York Botanical Garden

• Must love to work outdoors and have an interest in plant science and ecology

5) DOROT Summer Teen Internship Program

APPLICATIONS DUE MAY 15th

• Students engage with senior citizens with daily routines (grocery runs, play games, deliver meals, etc)

• Students "assist with office work at DOROT"

6) The Metropolitan Museum of Art Summer Internship (PAID)

APPLICATIONS DUE APRIL 1st

• Applications will be available on February 1st

Have an interest in museum careers and great works of art

• Students receive a payment of $1,200 stipend upon successful completion of program
